Residential

MDC Environmental Services is proud to serve the Village of Capron, in Boone County. Please see below for information and regulations regarding curbside trash pickup in the Village of Capron.

REFUSE, RECYCLING AND YARD WASTE SERVICES:

The pickup day for your refuse and recyclable materials will be on Thursdays. Please have all refuse and recyclable items at the curb by 6:00 A.M. on Thursdays. Yard waste is picked up on Tuesdays and must be at the curb by 6:00 A.M. The services offered by MDC Environmental Services are as follows:

Levels of Service:

Residents may choose the level of service appropriate for their own household needs.  Depending upon the level of service selected, MDC will supply a 95 gallon, 65 gallon or 35 gallon garbage cart.  While there is no cost for the use of the cart, the cart does remain the property of MDC and must be made available for pick-up by MDC if the resident moves or cancels service.  Residents will be assessed the then current cost for any carts not returned to MDC.

The following items are not considered “household waste” and are not eligible for collection: broken concrete, stone, sod, dirt, firewood, tires, hazardous waste, car batteries or large volumes of construction or demolition debris. Please contact MDC directly in advance to arrange the collection of any of these special items.

Additional/Extra Refuse

Please contact our office 24 hours prior to your pickup to arrange for a special pickup for any refuse in excess of your service level per week. There is an extra charge for this service. If you require an estimate, service will be provided within one week after the estimate is given.

MDC will provide an 18 gallon recycle bin to use for recycling.

Preparing Recyclables: Make sure that recyclables are clean and all containers such as cans and bottles are empty.  Contaminated recyclables cannot be recycled and will end up in landfill which defeats the purpose of recycling.  You do not need to divide recycling into individual groups.
